Laura Ehrman - Community Coordinator

Laura Ehrman is thrilled to join the growing staff of the Food Shed Co-op as the Community Coordinator. A McHenry County native, Laura definitely fits the definition of a “local product." After college, she lived in Chicago where she fell in love with the city’s “farm to fork” food scene and farmer’s markets. Laura has worked in nonprofit development with organizations like Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and Chicago Opera Theater, and spent a decade as a teacher and administrator in Chicago’s public schools. She now lives in Crystal Lake with her husband Dan and son Sam, and is proud to be owner #84 of the Food Shed Co-op. If you have ideas about sharing our co-op with local businesses, community organizations, and at area events, Laura wants to hear from you!
